Looking after nano ring extensions
A client who knows how to care for nano rings is a client who comes back. Here is what to tell them.
Good aftercare keeps extensions looking natural and shows clients you know your craft. It is also worth putting in writing, so it is easy to remember.
Brushing
Brush gently from the ends up, holding the hair at the root so the rings are not pulled. A soft brush made for extensions helps.
Washing
Keep the hair brushed and untangled before washing, and use gentle products. Avoid rubbing the roots hard when drying.
Sleeping
A loose plait at night stops tangling and keeps the rings from rubbing.
Maintenance
Extensions move down as the client’s own hair grows, so they need moving up at a maintenance appointment. Tell clients when to book it.
Learning the method
A good course covers aftercare, repositioning and safe removal as well as fitting. See what a nano course covers.
